Using the File Plan View

Your organization's File Plan can be viewed in the Navigation Tree, if the system administrator has allowed you access to it. To view the File Plan, expand the Library entry in the Navigation Tree, then expand the File Plan node. You can then expand and collapse the Term and File entries in the tree. Use this view to browse for Documents or to file Documents in the File Plan.

  • To browse for Documents, expand the Terms and Files to locate a File Part.

    • Clicking on a Term or File Part displays the Contents page. See The Contents Page.

    • Clicking on a File displays the Details page with the Contents tab selected. See The Contents Tab.

  • To file or reassign a Document, find the Document in any Quick Reference or Search Results page and then use the drag-and-drop feature to move the Document to a File Part.

  • To review a list of items you have requested and to cancel requests for items, click the Current Requests link. See The Cancel Request Page for instructions on how to cancel a request.
