Add a Version or a Sub-Version

The DM Classic Webtop enables you to either import a new version or sub-version using an existing native file or to create a new version or sub-version from an existing version of the document.

To import a file as a new version or sub-version:

  1. From the Versions tab on the Document Details page, click the Import New Version button. Or, if you want to import a new sub-version, select the version for which you want to create a sub-version and click the Import New Sub-Version button.

The Import New Version or Import New Sub-Version page is displayed.

  2. Enter any remarks you have specific to the document version you want to import in the Comment field.

  3. You can change the trustees on the new document version by selecting the Trustees check box. Select Replace current trustee(s) to clear the current list of trustees and add the user(s) listed in the Author and Entered by field to the current list of trustees.

  4. Click the Import file button. The Upload page is displayed.

  5. In the Import file section, click Browse to locate the file you want to import as a new version.

  6. Click Import File to save the file to the library as a new version. You are returned to the Versions tab on the Document Details page.
