Setting Access Rights for Documents

The Access Rights pane enables you to Allow or Deny permissions for each user in the trustee pane. For example, if you wanted to disallow a specific user or group from copying the document, you would select the Copy option under the Deny column.

To modify the access rights for each user or group:

  1. Select a group or user name from the Current Trustees list by clicking the name to select it. The Access Rights options in the right hand-pane will become available to be applied to the currently selected group or user.

  2. Select a predefined Rights Template from the drop-down menu or assign custom Trustee rights by selecting a combination of the individual Access Rights available below the drop-down menu. See Access Rights Templates and Options for more information about Access Rights Templates.

  3. To save the current document security settings, click OK. To discard the settings, click Cancel.

  4. Click the Save button on the Profile tab toolbar.
