RM Components and Concepts

Before using RM, you should understand the core concepts of the records management system and the functions that are available to RM users. Below are some of the key concepts you should understand before using RM:

This Help describes RM as it is shipped. Your RM administrator may have customized the appearance, in part or in whole, of the graphical user interface elements (such as field names, column titles, or button labels) found in this product. Should you have any questions regarding this, please contact your administrator.

Any changes made to the default terminology can be reflected in the user interfaces. This makes the transition to RM easier, because users do not have to learn new terminology as well as a new system. However, it also means that if RM has been customized for your organization, the fields described in this Help system may not match what you see on your screen.
